Our family life and etc

It has been a full week of potty training and I think we are getting the hang of going to sit on the potty every 30 minutes.  Our daughter has done better then I thought she would this past week with the potty. I figured I would have to constantly fight with her about sitting on the potty but nope I have had to fight with her over it. She has had like 7 or pee pees in the potty and one poopy. I did not think she would be pooping in it for a little while but she surprised me with it the other day. I was preparing to start cooking dinner when the potty timer goes off. So I carry her to the potty (as she is sitting in the hall in front of the bath down stair (our down stairs bathroom is very small. It is a half bath really and her potty chair will not fit in there ) and the hall is right by the kitchen, so I thought I would go ahead and get started on it. We have been potty training for nearly a week and so far it has been going a mix between stressful, frustrating, and good. We have had three pee pees in the potty. Now not days but three pee pees in the potty. Maybe you are wondering what all we are doing. Well I am going to tell you. We have a little chart hung up on the wall by the potty chair and we color in a minnie mouse when she pees or poops (which she has not made a poop in the potty yet but she will one day haha). She gets a small prize once she pees five times in the potty and after so many pees and poops she will get a big prize. Yes, we are using pull ups and I know what some parents may be thinking, that it is a big no as it does not teach them anything and that it is just makes me think that they are wearing a diaper and are just a waste of money. And so it begins,, The potty training is about to begin. I caught my daughter playing in her poop. It was so gross. She had basically all over her. Her dad and I had talked about it before that we was going to try to wait until she was nearly 3 years old as we have heard that it was best to wait until they was like 3 years old as they will have a little bit better of a control of their bladder and etc. but I really do think it will be best for us to go ahead and start it. Besides the fact of her playing in her poop, she will go to the bathroom with her ipad when she poops in her diaper/pull up. So I do think it is time to start it. One of the things I do know that we will not being doing during the potty training process and that is doing the three day training. I have seen where people does that and for me personally do not think that it will work for our daughter, as the taken three days for her to forgot all about the pacifier did not work for her lol.
